Bearing Fruit in Old Age
On the 5th of January 2026, Reouttage Charity Organization held its fourth outreach in Fiditi, Oyo State – our largest yet, reaching 100 aged beneficiaries. What started as a gathering of prayer and welcome quickly became a day of spiritual nourishment, practical care, and empowerment for the aged who continue to inspire us with their resilience.Under the leadership of our Visioner, the program opened with a heartfelt opening prayer followed by a warm welcome to all present. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as we prepared to serve both body and spirit. How the Day UnfoldedOur preacher, Pastor Oluwabunmi Aromolaran, delivered a powerful and timely message titled “Bearing Fruit in Old Age. The sermon reminded every elder that their season of life is not one of decline but of continued purpose, productivity, and divine usefulness. After the preaching, we moved into action with medical check-ups for all 100 beneficiaries. Alongside this, we held a counseling session that proved truly transformative. It offered life-enriching insights that empowered the aged to unlock their full potential and take charge of their safety and well-being.Tuberculosis screening was also conducted as part of our ongoing commitment to proactive health support. To bless the elders practically, we distributed raw food items to each beneficiary:
• Rice
• Semovita
• Salt
An exciting addition this time was the sharing of snacks during the program, which brought extra moments of joy and immediate nourishment while the teaching and services were ongoing.
Impact and Reflections
The 4th Outreach marked a beautiful milestone for Reouttage Charity Organization. From our humble launch with 30 elders in December 2022, we have grown in both numbers and depth – now reaching 100 people with preaching that stirs the spirit, medical checks and TB screening that protect health, counseling that empowers daily living, and food support that meets real needs.
Seeing so many elders leave encouraged, better informed, medically attended to, and physically strengthened reminded us of our core mandate: to reach the unreached, care for the aged, and demonstrate the love of Christ in practical, life-changing ways. The message of “bearing fruit in old age” resonated deeply, leaving hearts full of hope and purpose.
