On 13th of April 2024, Reouttage Charity Organization returned to Fiditi, Oyo State, for our second outreach – a powerful follow-up to the successful launch that had touched 30 elders just months earlier. This time, we reached even deeper into the community, serving 50 aged beneficiaries. These precious people, many of whom came from far distance and face limited access to healthcare, once again became the heartbeat of the day.
The atmosphere was filled with gratitude and expectation as we continued our mission to demonstrate God’s love through practical care and spiritual encouragement. We began exactly as we did at the launch – with a heartfelt opening prayer that invited God’s presence into every moment. Hearts were lifted as we sang praises to God, creating a joyful and worship environment that set the tone for the entire program.
This outreach marked a significant step forward in how we care for the elderly. Instead of only a general health talk, we invited professional health officials to conduct comprehensive medical check-ups of vital signs for every beneficiary. Blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and other key vitals were carefully measured, and necessary medications were provided on the spot to address immediate health needs.
We then held a focused seminar on Tuberculosis (TB), educating the elders on symptoms, prevention, treatment, and the importance of early detection. Immediately after the teaching, the health team carried out for all 50 beneficiaries, ensuring no one left without knowing their status and receiving guidance where needed. Following the medical and educational sessions, we distributed raw food items – specifically Semovita – to each elder. These essential staples were given with love and prayers, helping to ease daily nutritional needs.
As in our first outreach, the highlight for many was the Prophetic Declaration Session. Standing firmly on our belief in the miracles God has prepared for His people, we declared life, healing, strength, and divine provision over every life present. The room was charged with faith as words of encouragement and breakthrough flowed freely.The program closed with a closing prayer, sealing the day in thanksgiving and anticipation for continued impact.
Impact and Reflections
The 2nd Outreach was a clear testimony that Reouttage Charity Organization is growing in both reach and depth. Moving from basic health education to hands-on medical check-ups, medication, TB awareness, and screening showed our commitment to meeting real, pressing needs among the aged.
Seeing 50 elders receive professional medical attention, valuable knowledge, and practical food support – all wrapped in prayer and prophetic encouragement – reminded us why this work matters. Many left not only with physical relief but with renewed hope and the knowledge that they are seen, valued, and cared for.This outreach reinforced our core mandate: to reach the unreached, care for the aged, and demonstrate the love of Christ in practical, life-changing ways.
